Walker Hayes and Wife Laney Mourning Loss of Baby Girl
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Walker Hayes and his family as they mourn the loss of their baby girl. The child, their seventh, was born Wednesday, June 6.
In a post to Instagram, Hayes and his team shared the heartbreaking news.
“It is with great sadness that Laney and I share with you the news that our sweet Oakleigh Klover Hayes was born this morning at the hospital and is now safely in heaven. Thank you for honoring our privacy as we grieve.”
In addition to Hayes’ statement, his team shared that all of his immediate appearances will be canceled as he spends time with his wife and six children at home.
The couple shared the news of their pregnancy during the 2017 CMA Awards during an interview with Taste of Country. They later revealed that they were waiting until the birth to find out if they were having a boy or a girl to split their evenly matched three older boys and three girls.
