His exit from Nashville was announced yesterday, and today, Deadline revealed that Chase will star in the upcoming Broadway production of Something Rotten!. Chase is set to take over the role of William Shakespeare from Tony winner Christan Borle.
This isn’t Chase’s first time stepping onto the Broadway stage. Before he was courting Rayna James (Connie Britton) on Nashville, Chase played the role of Shakespeare in one of the original readings of Something Rotten!.
Chase’s performances will begin July 18.
