Some people think it’s almost impossible to work with friends. While many people dream of getting a job alongside their best friend, it’s hard to maintain that work-fun balance while trying to accomplish tasks. But throughout their success, the guys in Zac Brown Band have bonded as a unit despite working together very regularly.

Their bonding sessions, though, don’t just happen on stage or in the studio. They’ve had some experiences together that have changed how they support each other and determined their trust throughout their time as a band.

“It’s amazing we’re all still alive, as many really terrible vans and shuttle buses and stuff that we were in. We should have slid off a mountain a long time ago. We were all passed out drooling in the back, and our guitar player, who could barely, at the time he could barely tie his shoes was driving us through Colorado, through the mountains, and the van blowing up and the generator dying. You can’t fake those things. You can’t fake the chemistry that comes from those things,” lead singer Zac Brown said recently.

Gladly enough, the guys have survived some of those crazy times and come out on the better end of it because it’s allowed them to have a connection deeper than just colleagues to work with.

Their chemistry as a band becomes even clearer when fans see their shows out on the road. They currently are on their Black Out the Sun Tour at the moment while promoting their single, “Castaway.”
