Two of the biggest forces in country music are about to blow listeners’ minds by blending their voices together on a vintage track made just their own.

In the process of recording Zac Brown Band’s forthcoming record, Welcome Home, the guys wanted to revert back to their old ways when they made their name and honor the traditional roots they grounded their music upon. Sticking to the simplistic themes they’ve radiated toward for years, the group decided to cover John Prine’s classic hit, “All the Best,” but not without a little help from one of their friends.

Enter Kacey Musgraves, her soothing voice melting over the raspiness in that of Zac Brown’s while collaborating together in the studio. The two exchange ideas about the calming cover, as seen in the social clip posted to her account, and the camaraderie is inevitable when they decide to make magic over their rendition.

“I had SO much fun singin’ on one of my favorite old @john_prine songs on the new @zacbrownband record. Zac – thanks for always being so kind and supportive to me. #AllTheBest 4/21,” Musgraves captioned the video while hinting that the track could be making its debut on Friday.

Zac Brown Band has been focusing on this upcoming studio project for quite a while now, devoting their full attention to taking fans back to the sounds they heard and fell in love with at the start of their country music journey.

“All the Best” is just one of the many homey tracks that will be featured on the record, along with “My Old Man” and “Family Table.”

Welcome Home will be released on Friday, May 12.
