Zac Brown Band Records In History-Filled Studio
The Zac Brown Band recently announced plans to release a new album, Jekyll + Hyde, on April 28. It’s an album that the band says will have “things that people will expect and things that they don’t.”
When it came to recording Jekyll + Hyde, the GRAMMY winners utilized the Southern Ground recording studio in Nashville. What many fans don’t know is that the Southern Ground studio houses plenty of musical history.
“These walls have heard a tremendous amount of music; Neil Young, Roger Miller, Kris Kristofferson, Willie Nelson, Allman Brothers,” Brown explains, naming more than a few legends who’ve most definitely inspired some of today’s top musicians.
“There’s been some magic records recorded there and the list goes on and on,” he adds.
ZBB will no doubt be adding to the list of “magic records” when Jekyll + Hyde drops next month.
The band’s current single, “Homegrown,” is at radio now.
