It has been a year and a half since Zac Brown Band released their critically-acclaimed record Jekyll + Hyde. Now, the band is ready to head back into the studio to work on their fifth major label album for a project reminiscent of their 2008 project, The Foundation.

“We’re going in this winter to make a brand new ZBB record, straight back to our roots, ‘Foundation’ style,” said the band’s front man Zac Brown in a video posted to Facebook. “It’s going to be an amazing album. We’re very excited to announce to you that we’re making the new one.”

The singer, surrounded by his bandmates, also went on to thank fans for their endless support throughout the entirety of their career.

“Thank you so much for all the loyalty and the love you’ve given us over the years. ‘Jekyll + Hyde’ just went platinum and ‘The Foundation’ just went 5x platinum. Thanks to all of you so much for that.”

Before heading back into the studio, ZBB has several more tour dates on the books, including upcoming stops in Manhattan, KS, Charlotte, NC and Pelham, AL. Check out the full announcement in the video above.
