As the City of Gatlinburg, Tennessee officially re-opens for business today following the devastating fires that killed 14 people and damaged or destroyed 2,460 buildings in and around the area, it was announced that GRAMMY-winning group the Zac Brown Band will headline “Mountain Tough,” a free outdoor festival aiming to raise funds and awareness for rebuilding the city and surrounding areas.

The event, which is being put on by Ole Smoky Distillery along with with Yee Haw Brewing Company, Music City Roots and the Gatlinburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, will take place Saturday, Dec. 17, at 705 Parkway in Gatlinburg. Also appearing at the day-long festival will be Jim Lauderdale, Rodney Crowell, Sam Bush and many more.

100% of the donations and funds collected from “Mountain Tough” will go towards rebuilding the community. Fans unable to attend can watch the event live on Facebook and can make donations via this link.

This isn’t Brown’s first effort to help the area. Immediately after the fires, Brown’s lifestyle brand, Southern Ground, sent an 18-wheeler to Gatlinburg to assist with recovery efforts and aid volunteers and workers who were working tirelessly to help residents and visitors in the area.
