Last night, fans and members of the Hilton HHonors program gathered in a ballroom in the Doubletree by Hilton on 4th Ave in Nashville, TN to see one of country music’s hottest stars, Kip Moore. It sounds odd, right? Not the concert but its location. Well, Hilton has been giving its reward card members some exciting and exclusive opportunities throughout the year with the 2016 Hilton Concert Series.

As a member of the Hilton HHonors program, members have had the opportunity to redeem their points for some great shows, including last night’s show with Moore. Other shows have included Elle King in Hollywood, FL, Jason Derulo in San Diego, CA, Halsey in Tokyo, Japan and several others. So not so strange, after all?

So, on Wednesday night, fans lined up and down the halls and open areas of the hotel awaiting the doors to be open. As soon as the doors cracked open just the littlest bit, fans stampeded (it was a little scary if you weren’t prepared!) into the room hoping to get a spot right at the front of the stage. They were well prepared for the hit maker to take the stage and blow them away.

Moore kicked off the show with an audience the organizers claimed as their largest of the series. His set started with “Crazy One More Time” and “Wild Ones,” both songs the audience loved and sang back even louder than the Georgia native himself. His set was complete with his chart-topping singles, including “Somethin’ ‘Bout A Truck,” “Beer Money,” and the reflective “Hey Pretty Girl,” as well as songs from his sophomore record Wild Ones.

One of the more impressive parts of Moore’s show was not only his (and his band, the Slow Hearts) stage presence, but the love and passion his fans have for his music. While his singles from the latest album have not taken to radio quite as well as his debut record, fans have stuck with him and they sang every song back to him just as loudly as they had the one before it. There’s no doubt that the road warrior has one of the most adoring groups of fans out there.

Before Moore’s energizing show kicked off, singer/songwriter Kelleigh Bannen warmed up the crowd with an acoustic set of her own songs. Bannen began with her song “Famous,” and let into several songs from her new EP including “Cheap Sunglasses” and “Landlocked.” The set included a well-received cover of Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” revival. If you’re able to, be sure to add her EP Cheap Sunglasses to your collection.

The final show for the 2016 Hilton Concert Series will take place in Austin, TX with Guy Clark, Jr on Oct. 28.
