After taking over a year break, Lady Antebellum kicked off the next chapter in their career on Thursday night by hosting a concert in Nashville to celebrate the announcement of their forthcoming album and tour along with the release of their new single, “You Look Good.”

“We’ve been looking forward to this day for so long,” Hillary Scott of the trio announced to the crowd. “We’ve been working so hard.”

Their set on Thursday evening , which was streamed via Facebook Live, featured new music from the album as well as fan favorite, “Bartender.” While on stage, the award-winning group didn’t miss a beat, delivering an energetic and sassy performance, which they say is a taste of what fans can expect on the road this summer as part of the You Look Good World Tour.

New tracks interluded into the evening included the horn-filled single, “You Look Good,” “Somebody Else’s Heart” and the title track of the project, “Heart Break.” Penned by Nicolle Galyon (“Automatic,” “We Were Us,”) and Lady A, “Heart Break” is a play on words telling the story of a heart that needs a break from love.

“We took a little heart break, but now we’re back,” Dave Haywood admitted. Charles Kelley added, “Thank you for understanding we needed to take a little break for the past year or two.”

While on stage, the trio explained how the new album came to be. The three of them rented out a house in California and got back to their roots of writing and recording great songs.

“For us it was getting back to that spontaneous inspiration when you don’t have too many things pulling you in different directions,” Kelley noted. “It was a really inspiring time and I think we got back to the core of this group.”

Heart Break is slated to be released on June 9. The album was produced by busbee (Maren MorrisHero), with all but two songs on the record co-written by Lady Antebellum. The corresponding tour will kick off this summer, making its way to six countries and three different continents. Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young will join the group on the trek.

We all have a little while longer until we can get our new Lady Antebellum fix, but until then, their freshly released single “You Look Good” is available now.
