Carly Pearce is a country newcomer that seems to have ‘Every Little Thing’ together in her life, from knowing her sound to styling herself head-to-toe in all of the hottest style trends. Being a woman who loves all things beauty, fashion and more makes her the ultimate guide to the glam life, especially when it comes down to these chillier months during the winter.

In this week’s installment of one of Pearce’s blogs for Sounds Like Nashville, she gives us a suggestion on a standout, glamorous outfit to kick off the New Year right! Whether you’re dining out for a fancy night with your significant other or dancing the night away with your girlfriends, this outfit  is one that’ll having you looking fierce from the end of 2016 and into the start of 2017!

New Year’s Eve is a fun time to dress up and celebrate with friends you’ve spent the year with. You’ll catch me on NYE hanging out with my closest friends and bandmates. Each year we decorate the house with streamers, pop a little bubbly (or a lot) and talk about all the milestones we’ve had over the year. This doesn’t mean we don’t get dressed up though 😉 I like to take the traditional NYE sparkly number and put a bohemian twist on it.

As you know, I’m not one to get super fancy so I’d go with this long-sleeve romper with a rose metallic pattern. This is great to dance in and easy to dress up or down depending on the type of look you’re after. You can go bare legged and bare the cold or add a pair of tights.

I would pair this romper with strappy nude sandals. I love that they’re simple, but dress the outfit up a bit. It’s always a good idea to wear shoes you’re comfortable in on this night because who knows where you’ll end up! To top off this simple, but flashy number you can add simple, blush colored accessories.

What really ties this look together though is a big teased ponytail! I always say the higher the hair the closer to heaven you are. I just take a teasing comb and go to town. I’m always trying to go “Dolly Parton” style any time I can. The ponytail is also a good idea because, hey, you’ll most likely be busting out your dance moves and making your rounds talking to everyone so this way your hair will be out of the way. Also lashes. Lots and lots of lashes! I go subtle with the makeup, but not with my lashes. I personally like Sephora’s line of lashes because you can get a couple uses out of them and they don’t look fake. I’d finish off this look with a bold lip color band if you’re keeping it low-key than go for a nude lip.

Whatever you wear on New Year’s Eve make sure you spend it with a special group of people. There’s nothing better than ringing in the New Year with your closest friends!
