Although Kelsea Ballerini has her eyes on the prize when it comes to her recent GRAMMY nomination, the gold trophy is not all that glitters in her preparation for the awards.

The “Yeah Boy” singer is all about the glitz and glam when it comes to dolling up for the big events, and for her debut walk on the GRAMMY red carpet, Ballerini wanted to make sure she shined brighter than the flashing lights of the cameras.

“I picked it up today. It’s so pretty! It’s sparkly, but not like little girl sparkly. ‘Cause normally, I go a little above and beyond on the sparkle, but it’s a little more mature, but still really sparkly,” Ballerini spilled exclusively to Sounds Like Nashville of her GRAMMY dress.

Now that she’s found the perfect ensemble to strut her stuff in for music’s biggest night, she plans to work hard to get in shape after her whirlwind vacation to Australia with her fiancé.

“I just got back from Australia,” Ballerini recently told People. “And so now I’m gonna work out really hard for two and a half weeks and then think about dresses — because I just ate all the food.”

Honored to be nominated in the category for Best New Artist, Ballerini is just soaking in the fact that she finds herself among great company and is humbled by the recognition so early in her career by her peers.“

“People that vote for the GRAMMYs are the people that play music and write music and fight for music and judge music for their living. To know that they had, I think 500 people that were eligible for New Artist and thought I was one of the best five, and thought me and Maren [Morris], as two country women, were two of the best five? I think that says a lot about Nashville and that’s a really cool thing,” she told SLN recently.

The 59th GRAMMY Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Sunday, February 12, on CBS.
