While Maggie Rose knows how to take control of a performance and rock it on all her own, she also makes sure she looks the part during her performances as well. Thanks to an eclectic wardrobe that Rose picks out herself, she establishes her creative persona through her favorite staples that she could not live without when she’s out on the road.

Rose has spent the majority of the summer playing fairs and festivals opening up for people like Tim McGraw, Lee Brice and Hunter Hayes and keeping her outfits in check every step of the way. Giving fans an inside look on the pieces that show off her true personality, Rose let Sounds Like Nashville in on some of her closet essentials for when she packs up and head out on tour.

Here are five of Rose’s wardrobe essentials…

American Apparel disco pants: “I have them in multiple colors and they make me feel 10 feet tall when I wear them! The sleek fit and beautiful sheen photograph beautifully and make me feel like a superhero on stage. The higher waist looks great paired with crop tops.”

Fantastic bodysuits: “I move around on stage a lot and I like knowing that my body suit is going to look good and stay in one place. I have a few basic ones that fit perfectly and pair with most anything and then I have a few that are be stars of the outfit and I can be a little more minimal with the rest of the outfit.”

BCBG two-toned leather platforms: “I wore them in my music video for ‘Same Sky’ and while they are sky high in height, I am so used to wearing them onstage. They are funky with their white sole and the platform makes them danceable for performances.”

Bolo ties by Rain + Rust: “My friend, Raina Gir, is a local jewelers’ designer and also co-styles a lot of my looks with me and she crafted these amazing bolo ties that I have in a few different styles. They can be worn as a hand bracelet and as a choker, too. I love the elemental feel of them as they are made with leather and stone and organic materials that have a rustic but glam feel.”

A great romper: “They make me feel coordinated and give that short skirt feeling without the risk of a wardrobe malfunction. I feel womanly but can still move however I want when I wear them.”
