Country trio Runaway June sings about making sure that a boy never messes up your makeup in a bad way, but what fans may not know is that these three women are beauties in their own right. From head to toe, they’re always looking stylish but do so with their own unique flairs.

Although Jennifer Wayne, Naomi Cook and Hannah Mullholland may spend a lot of time together on the road and writing with each other, they’ve still stuck to their true personalities at heart and have reflected it in their own fashion. While sitting down to talk to the ladies about their music, they also spilled some of the tips and tricks to Sounds Like Nashville on looking good at all times.

On Their Style Icons:

Jennifer: “I think, I guess, maybe I’m a little more classic-ish like Audrey Hepburn, but I don’t dress like her. I don’t know, like I love her. Like her and Brigitte Bardot, just that kinda old Hollywood. Oh, Dwight Yoakam! If I was a guy, I’d dress like Dwight Yoakam! Just high-waisted bootcut jeans. And his boots and the hat, everything. I love him!”

Naomi: Shania Twain is so funky sometimes and I’ll wear stuff—sometimes, my sister’s like, ‘Why are you wearing that?’ And I’ll be like, ‘I feel good in this! I like it!’ Shania, I know she’s not a fashion icon, but I just really always loved the way she dressed. Love Stevie Nicks, too. So I kind of have like a little hippie. Karen Fairchild…I love her, oh my God. She’s a lot more rock than what I would do, but man, she really developed into like a stylish lady! Just love her stuff.”

Hannah: “I have a couple. Mine are kinda funny but Grace Potter, I feel like [she] is my spirit animal. I love Grace Potter so much. And oddly enough, if I could raid anyone’s closet, it’d be Steven Tyler. Every time I see him, even out in public, I’m like ‘I have those jeans! They’re Free People!’ I love everything about his style, so I would want like Steven Tyler, Grace Potter. Those are my style icons.”

Their No. 1 Beauty Tip:

Jennifer: “For me, this may sound crazy and I don’t know if it’s just in my mind or not, but I’ve washed my face with cold water since I can remember. I never do warm water when I wash my face and I feel like it revitalizes your skin. I’ve just gotten so used to it on my face, I never really even think about it anymore. But just straight cold when I wash my face. It’s never warm.”

Naomi: “I have one! Coconut oil hair treatments are literally the best thing ever. They’ll make your hair grow super fast, it makes it strong. I love coconut oil for everything. I’ll just take a bath in it. I use it to remove makeup, I use it to moisturize, I eat it, I do everything with coconut oil.”

Hannah: “I’m not much of a beauty guru, but for me, I think having a good diet. I try to drink water, like I’m trying to get better about it. Drinking water, getting your vitamins through food I feel like that’s probably the healthiest you could look. And vegetables for me. And a good matte lipstick! Vegetables and a matte nude lipstick!”

Their Most Important Closet Staple:

Jennifer: “I’d say cowboy boots…and a tan!”

Naomi: “I love a good jean. Jeans—I feel comfortable in them, I wanna perform in those, I’ll kick around in those. Jeans are the thing for me.”

Hannah: “It is bellbottoms! I have a big collection of bellbottoms.”
