The often shy and soft spoken singer took the stage for a two-hour set that had him talking frequently with the audience and sharing some of the stories behind his songs.

“This night is all about celebrating songwriters and who they are as people and how they let their lives inspire their art,” Lambert said several songs into her hour-long set.
Joining Stapleton for his stop at the BB&T Pavilion were Margo Price and Brent Cobb, each ideal as an opening act for the reigning CMA Male Vocalist of the Year.

“Becky Fluke and Reid Long shot this and they captured that wide scope of the subject of this song so beautifully and so powerfully,” said the group’s Jimi Westbrook.
The Georgia native – a cousin to super producer Dave Cobb – has more than his share of moments to shine on this album.
The record was produced by Grammy-winning producer Dave Cobb, who is Brent’s cousin.
After the show, it’s the after party and Charlie Worsham played host to that shindig throughout CMA Fest at the Ernest Tubb Record Shop.
