The Country Rising Downtown Jam will feature artists like Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Chris Janson, Lindsay Ell and many more.
Money raised from the song will be donated to the Direct Impact Fund.
Aldean invited several of his artist buddies to join him in singing the Tom Petty classic.
Country music’s biggest stars brought their better halves out for a swanky night on the town at the CMT Artists of the Year event.
“As you guys know, man, it’s been a tough week and a half for all of us up here onstage, and I want to say, thank you guys for being here tonight,” Aldean said to the Oklahoma crowd.
Keith Urban leads the pack of country nominees with three nominations, while Sam Hunt follows close behind with two.
Rather than celebrate each artist’s accomplishments, CMT Artists of the Year has been transformed into a night of hope and healing through the power of music.
Bentley took pictures with many of the amazing spirits that worked to keep victims alive hour by hour, and he expressed in another Instagram post how proud he was of the “everyday heroes among us.”
One week after the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history, Jason Aldean has returned to the site of the massacre.
“You can be sure that we’re going to walk through these tough times together, every step of the way because when America is at its best, our bond and our spirit, it’s unbreakable,” said Aldean.
In the aftermath of the Las Vegas shooting, Luke Bryan is promising to do “everything possible” to keep his fans safe at his upcoming Farm Tour concerts.
“It’s been hard to process what happened the other night… still feel like I’m in a daze,” the 29-year-old began.
“Hearing one of your best friends shaken up like that, knowing they’ll never be able to un-see these things, you get lumps and you get nauseated,” Bryan said of his recent phone call with Jason Aldean.
“I hope everyone understands why we can’t play this weekend and I’m sorry if anyone is disappointed,” the statement reads.
“We will NOT let hate win over LOVE. We will NOT be defeated by senseless violence,” the statement reads in part.
“This is a POWERFUL moment of American unity. No politics, religion, race…Just AMERICANS. It’s time to unify,” the country duo captioned their patriotic post.
It was the random acts of kindness–from sheltering innocent people with their own bodies or transporting wounded victims to the hospital–that created some hope out of the darkness in light of the Las Vegas shooting.
“We are all humans and we are all Americans and its time to start acting like it and stand together as ONE,” Aldean shared in an emotionally charged Instagram post.
“We need gun control RIGHT. NOW. My biggest regret is that I stubbornly didn’t realize it until my brothers on the road and myself were threatened by it,” Caleb Keeter wrote.
