The Peach Pickers To Host Third Annual Georgia on My Mind Benefit Concert
NASHVILLE, TN - MAY 12: The Peach Pickers: Dallas Davidson, Rhett Akins, and Ben Hayslip at 'Georgia on My Mind, hosted by the Peach Pickers and Friends,' a benefit for the Georgia Music Foundation at the Ryman Auditorium on May 12, 2015 in Nashville, Tennessee.

For the third year in a row, The Peach Pickers will be putting on the annual Georgia on my Mind benefit concert at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on May 10.

The native Georgia songwriting group, comprised of Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson and Rhett Akins, is hosting the show to raise money for the Georgia Music Foundation. The non-profit organization supports music programs within the state to encourage the preservation and education of the state’s music.

“It’s always an honor to do anything that benefits our home state,” said Hayslip, in a Nash Country Weekly interview. “It just gets bigger and better every year. It’s one of the best concerts going, not because of us, but because it’s a night that you get to go out and support a great cause.”

While the guest line-up has yet to be announced, prior performers include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Cole Swindell, Lauren Alaina and many more. Nonetheless, the Peach Pickers could not be more excited for this show to be coming to the iconic stage soon.

“We are looking forward to another great year at the Ryman,” Davidson added. “We can’t wait for everyone to come.”

Hayslip agreed.

“It’s also a night you get to go out and see several huge country music stars in one building on the same night. You get to see them interact with each other and see that these guys are actually friends.”

The concert will also feature a tribute to the late Otis Redding, who would have been 75-years-old this year. It’s unsure of the exact details regarding the tribute, but it can be said that bringing a little bit of Georgian soul will make for a grand ole time.

“It’s just a great night for country music,” said Hayslip.

Tickets are on sale now and range from $39.50 to $49.50. For more information, visit ryman.com for more details.
