Brent Cobb: Fireside Sessions – ‘Forever After All’

The countdown to the first day of Spring is on, but many folks across the country are dealing with cold temps, snow and ice (yuck!). So we thought it would be the perfect time for another installment of the Fireside Sessions with Brent Cobb!

CountryMusicIsLove teamed up with the Ellaville, Georgia native for the series, which showcases music from his self-titled debut EP, late last year. In the third episode, Cobb introduces fans to the song “Forever After All.”

“If there’s any song that makes the most sense for the Fireside Sessions it’s this one. When I shared it with my publisher we tossed around calling it the campfire song because it just made us feel like we were sitting around a campfire,” shares Brent. “I was first inspired to write this song about Providence canyon, a canyon a few counties over from my hometown in GA where my friends and I used to hang out. But, it struck me that the word ‘providence’ also means the protective care of God or nature as a spiritual power. So the line, ‘the night won’t last forever afterall …’ means to me that although in life we sometimes get lost and forget our roots we won’t be wandering around in the dark forever. There is a light at the end of the tunnel.”
