It’s pretty obvious that country newcomer Maren Morris had the week of her life last week as she was one of the top country nominees for the GRAMMY Awards. To add on to all of the giddy excitement, Morris got to take on a huge performance honor by gracing the iconic Saturday Night Live stage for two songs.

Bringing the house down with big hair and sparkles everywhere, Morris stunned the audience with her soulful rendition of her mega-hit, “My Church.” Jamming out with her acoustic guitar and using her well-known rich vocals to mesmerize the crowd, it seemed as if Morris owned the stage for her first look on the famous comedy sketch show.

She returned after a few more skits to show off her talents on her current radio single, “80s Mercedes,” in a cool glittery ensemble, commanding the small set with her huge country presence.

Morris documented her excitement over the performances on her Instagram profile, posting many pictures she captured throughout the night. Thanks to an impromptu sit in by the character of Walter White during the “Weekend Update” sketch, she even got to stage a quick meet-and-greet with the man behind the role, Bryan Cranston.

“Had a dream I played SNL and met Bryan Cranston,” she captioned her Insta-worthy snapshot of the two together.

Morris will head out on the road for her The Hero Tour 2017 early next year, kicking things off in New York in February. More dates and information are available on her website.
