Jamie Lynn Spears Gives Birth to Baby Girl, Ivey Joan

It’s a big day for Jamie Lynn Spears and family as they welcomed a precious baby girl into the world on Wednesday, April 11! Weighing in at 7 lbs., 8 oz. and 19 1/2 inches, both mother and child made it through the delivery happily and healthy. Spears found support in her husband, Jamie Watson, her first-born, Maddie and the rest of her closest loved ones.

Naming the little one Ivey Joan, Spears paid tribute to family members through both the first and middle names in their own respective ways.

“We are beyond excited to welcome this beautiful baby girl to our family! Her middle name, Joan, is to honor my Aunt Sandra, who passed away 10 years ago from ovarian cancer. She was the most graceful woman I’ve ever known,” Spears said to People.

Spears told fans she was expecting her second little one as a Christmas Eve surprise on Instagram. Showing the singer holding hands with both her husband and daughter together in a circle, the moment united them all with what their future held.

Spears and Watson wed back on March 14 of 2014. This marks the first child for the couple, as Spears had her first child, Maddie, back in 2008 with her then-boyfriend, Casey Aldridge.
