The true untold story of two of country music’s most iconic women will soon debut on Lifetime. The biopic, dubbed Patsy & Loretta, will follow the two country legends as they make their way into the music industry and become the well-known pioneers they’re known as today.

On Tuesday (7/24), the first trailer for the film debuted showcasing stars Megan Hilty as Cline and Jessie Mueller as Lynn. The two-and-a-half minute feature’s their first meeting as with the Lynn visits Clint in the hospital after an near-fatal car crash in 1961.

The two bond after Lynn asks if Cline was “angry” she had sang one of her songs on stage. “Not at all,” responds Cline. “I thought it was real sweet.”

The two maintained a close friendship afterwards, never viewing one another as competition and championing the other on during their careers, and eventually touring together. But their close friendship came to a brisk end after Cline tragically died in a plane crash at the age of 30 in 1963.

Patsy & Loretta was shot in Nashville, TN and was directed by Nashville creator Callie Khouri. Cline’s daughter, Julie Fudge, and Lynn’s daughter, Patsy Lynn Russell, served as co-producers on the project. The film will premiere on October 19 at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
