Lauren Alaina has added a new member to her family in the form of an adorable Goldendoodle puppy she named Opry. The singer introduced Opry to the world with an Instagram post on Christmas day featuring photos of herself and the puppy in the famous circle on the stage at the Grand Ole Opry House. Opry even looked the part for her debut, donning a checkered bandana around her neck and a little cowboy hat, which can be seen close up in the last photo of the post.

“Everyone paws what you’re doing and meet my sweet baby girl, Opry,” Lauren captioned the post. “I’m pretty sure this is the cutest Opry debut to date.”

The post shows many likes and comments, including a comment from fellow singer Lindsay Ell, who recently adopted a Pomeranian named Hendrix.

“Can she be BFFs with @hendrixthepomell please??“ she wrote, tagging her dog’s Instagram account.

Lauren has already started an Instagram for Opry with the name ‘grandlilopry.’ There, fans can see more photos of the puppy, including one of Lauren holding her on the beach.

“My mom loves me so much she can hardly sand it,” the caption reads.

Lauren and Ell aren’t the only country singers that have adopted dogs within the past year. Carly Pearce introduced the world to her new puppy, June, back in June of 2020.  Pearce and Ell recently got together with their dogs and posted a photo from the playdate on social media. “When your mamas are besties, you become instant besties,” wrote Pearce.
