Caroline Jones Shares Flirty ‘Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable)’ Video

Newcomer Caroline Jones plays hard to get in the video for her new single “Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable),” bringing her twangy throwback to boot-stomping life.
Set in a roadside saloon in New Zealand, the clip was directed by PROJECTBLACKBOXX and features Jones as a perky band leader. Arriving on a motorcycle and turning heads as she takes the stage, the string-bending songstress soon commands the attention of every man in the club — and uses it to lay down some romantic ground rules.
“Come in, but park your truck parked facing out,” she sings over hand claps, chicken-picked guitar riffs and an uptempo beat. “I’ll put up with you, but you ain’t getting in my pants / So come in, but don’t make yourself comfortable.” Jones then leads an energetic line dance with the whole bar (choreographed by TikTok creator McKenzi Brooke), and powers through a twangy guitar solo with a flirtatious wink.
“This video is a barn burner!! It is our largest video production to date, and as my fans will see, it’s very different from all of my previous music videos.” said Jones “It was a challenge to find a country and western bar in New Zealand, but we did it! Working with an all-New Zealander cast was especially refreshing as they were all very joyful, pure, and genuine people. I believe that energy comes across in the dancing and throughout the video too.”
The singer-songwriter first shared “Come In (But Don’t Make Yourself Comfortable)” in March, calling it “one of the most traditional country songs I’ve ever written.”
“Even the title and lyrically, the way that it’s formatted, placed with colloquialism, ‘Come in and make yourself comfortable,’ which is one of the oldest country lyric tricks in the book,” she told Sounds Like Nashville. “Usually I stay away from that because so many of them have [already] been written and are huge country classics that we all love.”
Caroline Jones previously released the collab “All of the Boys” with Zac Brown Band, and before that teamed up with Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Lukas Nelson and Mac McAnally for “Gulf Coast Girl.” She recorded her sophomore album last year — working largely from New Zealand — and is also the host of Sirius XM’s Art & Soul.
