Thomas Rhett and Riley Green teamed up to deliver a rollicking version of their new duet “Half of Me” at the 2022 CMT Music Awards, going 50/50 on a tune 100-percent guaranteed to result in a good time.

Uncorking their beer drinking buddy anthem in the middle of Nashville’s Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium, the performance was one of the night’s party-starting standouts. Surrounded by fans and with smoke rising, the stage actually resembled a tiny dive bar — and without question, that put TR and Green right in their element. They smiled as they traded verses and off-mic laughs, singing of that glorious time of day every country boy waits for … cold-beer o’clock.

The 2022 CMT Music Awards aired live from Nashville on CBS, marking the first time the genre’s only fan-voted awards show was broadcast on network television. The night was co-hosted by Kelsea Ballerini, actor Anthony Mackie and last-minute addition Kane Brown after Ballerini tested positive for COVID-19. Featuring a stacked lineup of featured performers, this year’s event also included Jason Aldean, Gabby Barrett and Miranda Lambert, plus collaborations between Cole Swindell and Lainey Wilson, Jimmie Allen, Monica and Little Big Town, Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, and many more.
