Country Stars Step Up to the Plate for 23rd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge
On Saturday morning, a handful of Country music’s hottest stars stepped up to the plate to strike out cancer at the 23rd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge at Greer Stadium during the CMA Festival.
Players included Florida Georgia Line duo Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard, Kree Harrison, Scotty McCreery, Phil Vassar, Lauren Alaina, “Nashville” star Jonathan Jackson, Craig Campbell, Brett Eldredge, Maggie Rose, Chuck Wicks, Olympic figure skater Scott Hamilton and more.
The City of Hope celebrity softball game is a yearly tradition at CMA Festival and raises valuable funds for lifesaving cancer research. 2013 marks City of Hope’s 100 year anniversary and the support from the country music community allows for continued care and discoveries.
