Greg Bates: ‘Fill In The Blank’ Appeals to My ‘Twisted Sense of Humor’
Greg Bates’ first single, “Did It For The Girl,” raced up to the Top 5, and his latest single “Fill In The Blank” is also making history. The song, which was featured on an episode of ABC’s hit show “Nashville,” was the most added at Mediabase upon its release.
The song’s popularity is brought on by Bates’ traditional sound and the cheeky Mad-lib-like message. “It’s a song that gets a lot of really good responses live, I think. It’s something that fans get the joke pretty quickly,” Bates says of “Fill In The Blank.”
Listeners go between funny or naughty thoughts and that is alright by Bates. “I’ve kinda got a twisted sense of humor sometimes. It’s one of those songs that kinda appeals to that side of me and I like to think that a lot of country fans kind a have that same sense of humor where we’ll go a little dirty if we need to.”
“Fill In The Blank” is quickly climbing the charts and sure to be another hit for Bates. Click below to check out the song and be sure to let us know what you think!
