The Lunabelles Release Debut Single

“A Place To Shine” may have many different meanings, but for BNA Records newcomers The Lunabelles, it not only means the title of their shimmering debut single, but also Nashville, TN, and a career in country music built on years of dreams, preparation, and hard work, on stage and on the road.

The Lunabelles are an all-female band consisting of sisters Olivia (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Dominique (piano, mandolin, vocals), and Gabby Arciero (drums, percussion, vocals)” and Alex Kline (lead guitar, banjitar, dobro, mandolin, peddle steel). “We grew up listening to country radio, so it’s a dream of ours to have a song going to country radio,” says Olivia. “‘A Place To Shine’ really says what we want to say as a band,” adds Dominique, “it’s such a positive message and we want people to feel that when they hear this song,” she continues.

The Arciero sisters grew up near Philadelphia, PA, playing weddings, school assemblies, open mic nights and staging musicals in their neighborhood. From there, the girls earned a spot on Kenny Rogers’ Christmas show where they performed for five years. The sisters moved to Nashville in 2009, and in 2010, they formed The Lunabelles with the addition of band member Alex Kline. Alex hails from Minneapolis, but moved to Marin County, CA, when she was 15. She attended Boston’s famed Berklee College of Music and fell in love with Nashville on spring break trip in 2006.

The heart of The Lunabelles’ sound is built around the core elements of tight harmonies, musicianship, and years of live performance experience, drawing on such influences as Diamond Rio, The Judds and Alison Krauss.

With “A Place To Shine” out now, the band is spending even more time on the road visiting country radio and performing live. When in Nashville, The Lunabelles are busy putting the final touches on their debut album which comes out later this year.
