Lauren Alaina to Make Film Debut in ‘Road Less Traveled’
Alaina will be playing the role of Charlotte, a songwriter stuck in the middle of wedding planning who jets off to her hometown for a little escape away from all of the craziness.
Country star Lauren Alaina is taking on a new role (quite literally) as she will be making her movie debut in a filmed named Road Less Traveled.
Named after her current single, Alaina is taking on the lead character of Charlotte, a songwriter who gets tied up in real life as she’s trying to plan a wedding. She finds herself running away from responsibility by fleeing the craziness of Los Angeles for her little hometown of Harmony, Tennessee. Little does she know, her escape to the simple life results in a big change as she runs into her high school sweetheart and the rest is yet to be known.
While Alaina is a new addition to the acting game, she finds the endeavor an exciting challenge and hopes that it peaks her interest in the creative outlet for another way to express herself.
“I am so excited to be doing a movie,” Alaina told Billboard recently. “This is a whole new world for me. I’m learning so much every day. We have such an awesome cast and crew and I can’t wait for everyone to see this new side of me.”
As Alaina continues filming the movie, she is also promoting her current single, “Road Less Traveled,” which is playing on country radio now. Fans can buy the track on digital music retailers and listen to the song on streaming services.
