Best & Worst Dressed at ‘The 48th Annual CMA Awards’

Following ‘The 48th Annual CMA Awards,’ we’ve compiled our picks for best and worst dressed from the red carpet. Some, like Danielle Bradbery and Brett Eldredge, pulled off hits, while others, such as Jason Aldean and Gretchen Wilson, were major misses.

Best Dressed Females:

• Carrie Underwood – When has she not landed on a best dressed list? This year, the Oklahoma native (and her growing baby bump!) dazzled in a gorgeous high-low Lorena Sarbu gown and several million dollars in Johnathon Arndt jewels.
• Danielle Bradbery – We absolutely LOVED Danielle Bradbery’s look! It was sleek and mature, yet fresh, which was beyond perfect for the 18-year-old singer.
• Kimberly Perry – The Band Perry frontwoman sported a Gustavo Cadile gown with an illusion neckline. We love that she kept her look simple with just a gold clutch and earrings. Sometimes less is more.
• Miranda Lambert – Mrs. Shelton’s old-Hollywood glam look had jaws dropping. Her Bibhu Mohapatra gown fit her new slim figure like a glove. We loved the bold lip, too!
• Jennifer Nettles – Jennifer Nettles’ CMA red carpet look matched her personality: classic, yet fun. The black dress was a perfect fit for her and we LOVE that it had pockets!

Best Dressed Males:

• Frankie Ballard – “Sunshine and Whiskey” singer Frankie Ballard has never looked better! He usually goes for a more eccentric red carpet look, but this time around, Ballard went with a classic tux and bow-tie. Excellent choice!
• Brett Eldredge – Brett Eldredge also opted for a tux and bow-tie. The country crooner made his CMA red carpet fashion choices in honor of his idol, Frank Sinatra. Nice work, Brett!
• Scotty McCreery – When did Scotty McCreery get so grown up? He looked dapper in a Shoreditch London Tux from Nashville’s The Label.
• Josh Turner – Can you say “handsome?” Josh Turner looked like a true Southern gentleman in a subtle plaid suit.
• Hunter Hayes – Hunter Hayes’ red carpet style never disappoints! His Navy blue suit had just a touch of black satin, which made it even more perfect for the occasion.

Looks To Leave Behind:

• Gretchen Wilson – No. Just no.
• Sam Hunt – More water, please! Oh wait, that’s not our waiter…it’s Sam Hunt. We love him, but this look isn’t working for us.
• Kacey Musgraves – We have a love/hate relationship with Musgraves’ look. Her Oscar de la Renta gown was absolutely gorgeous, but we just can’t get past the (enormous) hair.
• Jason Aldean – Where do we begin? The distressed jeans, the leather jacket…This is not CMA Awards worthy, Mr. Aldean!
• Brantley Gilbert – This is becoming a trend. We hate to include Brantley Gilbert on yet another worst dressed list, but if the shoe fits…
