Following Wednesday night’s CMT Music Awards, we’ve compiled our picks for best and worst dressed from the red carpet. Some, like Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan, pulled off hits, while others, such as Sam Hunt and Sarah Potenza, were major misses.

Best Dressed Females:
Carrie Underwood – Superstar Carrie Underwood made her return to the red carpet after maternity leave, and she did not disappoint. The Oklahoma native looked as gorgeous as ever wearing a beaded, white Thomas Wylde mini dress.
Danielle Bradbery – Danielle Bradbery’s CMT Awards red carpet style was on-point! The 18-year-old was absolutely glowing in a gold Patricia Bonaldi mini dress. We also loved her hair…that single braid was super cute!
Kelsea Ballerini – Kelsea Ballerini was stunning in this cobalt blue Christos Costarellos gown. She added just enough color with her clutch and shoes.
Maddie & Tae – These girls owned the red carpet! Maddie Marlow’s white jumpsuit was right on trend, and Taylor Dye’s multi-color mini was perfect for summer!
Kellie Pickler – Kellie Pickler strutted her stuff in a lovely Georges Chakra Couture dress paired with bronze heels and a sparkling clutch. She looked fabulous!
Best Dressed Males:
Luke Bryan – Luke Bryan always knows how to rock a red carpet! We loved his navy blue jacket and the touch of plaid.
Thomas Rhett – This look is something only Thomas Rhett can pull off. The green suit paired with white shoes isn’t something we’d normally be fans of, but he makes it work.
Brett Eldredge – “Lose My Mind” singer Brett Eldredge never misses on the red carpet. Last night’s look was no different.
David Nail – David Nail looked dapper in this striped navy blue suit.
Charles Esten – “Nashville” star Charles Esten looked very handsome while walking the red carpet in his black suit. We love cleaned up Deacon!
Looks to Leave Behind
Meghan Linsey – This look is basically Kim Kardashian circa 2013 Met Gala. Not okay.
Sarah Potenza – We’re not sure why this “Voice” alumni was at the CMT Awards, but we are sure that she got dressed in the dark.
Sam Hunt – We are big fans of Sam Hunt’s music. His style? Not so much.
Brooke Hogan – Girl, this dress is straight from prom 2001. You can do better.
Canaan Smith – Canaan Smith’s look is more fit for honky-tonkin’ on Broadway. This is the CMT Awards, Canaan…Spice it up a little!
