Carly Pearce is a country newcomer that seems to have ‘Every Little Thing’ together in her life, from knowing her sound to styling herself head-to-toe in all of the hottest style trends. Being a woman who loves all things beauty, fashion and more makes her the ultimate guide to the glam life, especially when it comes down to these chillier months during the winter.

In this week’s installment of one of Pearce’s blogs for Sounds Like Nashville, she gives us the deets on three of the cutest looks to style up for a number of holiday occasions. From piecing together an outfit to impress all those co-workers at the office Christmas party to a showstopping ensemble for painting the town red with your closest group of girlfriends, Pearce works the right closet staples for those killer winter looks.

Check out what she has to say about her fashion choices in Week One of Pearce’s ‘Every Little Thing’ blog:

It’s definitely harder to get out and be social during these long cold winter months, let alone trying to come up with cute outfits without layering on tons of jackets and scarfs. You’re not likely to catch me in a fitted cocktail dress or heels any time, but especially not during the winter! My main goal is to be comfortable while adding some items to make my outfit a little dressier.

I always make time for girls night out and one of my favorites is our holiday party. Several of my music friends from all different genres get together and we each bring a different holiday drink. It’s kind of like a holiday buffet, but with drinks instead 😉

Here are some of some of my favorite go-to outfits for when I venture out into the cold with my girls. These looks all have great staple pieces, so whether you’re headed out to a bar or a fun holiday event like ice skating or a tree lighting, you’ll look good and feel great!

Bodysuit with camel suede skirtChristmas party

This is an outfit I’d wear during my shows or on a night out. It’s a little dressy, but not over the top, which exactly how I like to keep my outfits. I’ve really fallen in love with the suede skirt trend! My favorite is the camel colored one. This is always a fun and cute number to wear and it’s perfect for winter because you can throw a pair of black tights under it. I wear a black bodysuit under this and my favorite black thigh-high Jeffrey Campbell boots. I love these boots and they’re definitely my go-to. Having a pair of boots you can always throw on with anything makes putting together outfits much easier, something I think all girls can agree on! I’d tie it all together with a fun choker.

Black leather jacket with denim skinny jeansfrom meeting to night on the town

This is something you can always dress up or dress down. If there’s one item I’m most likely to be wearing it’ll be my black leather jacket. This is one of those items that everyone needs. You can pair it with anything and helps especially in the winter when it’s freezing. One of my favorites is from All Saints. I love the fitted ones because it’s easy to wear a cute shirt underneath that you can still show off while being warm… that’s a win/win in my book! For this outfit, I would wear a graphic tee paired with dark wash denim skinny jeans. I could live in my Hudson skinny jeans all day every day. For my shoes….of course, my western-inspired Jeffrey Campbell black booties (I’m a HUGE fan of booties). To top it off and add a little flavor I would bring a fun printed clutch.

Over-sized sweater with black skinny jeansfun winter activities like ice skating or sipping hot cocoa by a fire

I love over-sized, off the shoulder sweaters. I mean they’re perfect after all those holiday meals because they’re cute and comfortable! For this time of year, I’d choose a darker color with a gold shimmer and wear a black lace bandeau underneath. I’d go with black skinny jeans and my go-to thigh high boots. Finally, to bring that extra warm and style I’d add a black beanie (I mean who doesn’t love beanies?!) You have to make it all about the gold shimmer on this one and that’s what makes it perfect for the holidays!

If you’re wondering where to find these pieces just take a look in your own backyard, that’s what I do. I love shopping locally in Nashville. I’m always finding unique and fun items. You can catch me looking through Posh, Hemline, or American Threads. I hope these outfit tips help when you’re debating on how to look cute and stay warm. It’s definitely possible to get the best of both worlds with these outfits. Hope you enjoy!
