Sadie Robertson Inspired By Carrie Underwood When Designing Prom Dresses

On top of their hilarious one-liners, the stars of Duck Dynasty are known for their unique entrepreneurial skills. This is no different for CEO Willie Robertson’s daughter, Sadie.

The 16-year-old made her New York City fashion week debut as both a model and fashion designer last week to launch her own line of prom dresses, called “Sadie Robertson Live Original.” The collection made its debut September 9 at the Evening By Sherri Hill Spring 2014 show in Trump Tower and the rest of the “Duck Dynasty” cast was there to cheer her on.

Sadie told Us Weekly that her dresses are inspired partly by superstar Carrie Underwood. “She’s a country girl and she dresses very nice, classy,” she explained.

Along with designing looks based on Underwood’s style, Sadie also says the dresses need to be “daddy-approved.” “Me and my mother and my grandma went to Sherri Hill’s place and we all picked out ‘daddy-approved length.’ She also added a couple inches to some that we loved but weren’t modest.”
