When Dierks Bentley and Parker McCollum met up at last week’s Country Radio Seminar, Bentley surprised McCollum with a special gift. The country superstar gave McCollum a Martin D-42 guitar as a belated ‘thank you’ for being an opener on his summer Beers On Me Tour. McCollum posted a photo of himself with the guitar, along with Bentley and Jon Pardi. He also thanked Bentley for the gift in the caption.

“Saw Dierks at The Ryman today for CRS. He said ‘man I been meaning to give you this guitar since last summer. It’s your tour present,'” McCollum writes of the moment. “A Martin D-42. An absolute super star in country music and he still remembers to take care of his openers. That’s the difference between good and great in this business. Also shout out to Pardi for hoppin in the pic.”

The three artists performed at the annual UMG Nashville Luncheon, which took place at the famed Ryman Auditorium on February 24. Other artists who performed at the event include Priscilla Block, Kassi Ashton, Brothers Osborne, Jordan Davis, Little Big Town and more. Keith Urban was also on hand to close out the show with an impressive guitar medley of hits. McCollum was also honored at the CRS New Faces of Country Music show on Friday (Feb. 25) alongside Walker Hayes, Lainey Wilson, Gabby Barrett and Jameson Rodgers.

Bentley was joined by both McCollum and Riley Green on the Beers on Me Tour, which ran from August through October. The tour is named after Bentley’s collaboration with Hardy and Breland. Bentley has a year full of tour dates and festivals ahead of him, and he will kick off his touring year with a performance at the Houston Rodeo on March 13.
