Superstar Carrie Underwood shared a laugh-out-loud moment of private family life with fans over the weekend, posting a hilarious video of her five-month-old son Jacob to social media.

Captioning the clip “Everyone’s a critic,” the video features little Jacob and Underwood’s husband, former hockey pro Mike Fisher. It finds Jacob having himself a bit of a cry while dad tries to calm him by crooning Vince Gill’s tender “I Still Believe In You.” But when that doesn’t work, mom steps in … and surprise, surprise, her Grammy-winning voice does the trick.

Underwood and Fisher keep going back and forth, and each time Jacob cries for Fisher while smiling happily for Underwood. I guess sometimes there’s just no replacing mom — but to Fisher’s credit, he did have some pretty stiff competition, and that’s not an easy song to sing. Fisher offered up an explanation in the post’s comments. “The real reason is he was hungry and wanted your food. #notmysinging,” he wrote.

Jacob is Fisher and Underwood’s second son, joining the family alongside big brother Isaiah (4) in January. The country star’s summer-themed current single, “Southbound” is out and climbing the charts, and her Cry Pretty Tour 360 is ongoing.
