I want to be more present. I think living in a whirlwind like I do every day makes me forget that I need to take time to enjoy each day. Whether that’s with my friends, my family or my band and all we experience, I want to soak ALL of 2019 in!

“My goal for next year is to live in the moment. I know it sounds cliche but I started doing that this year and it was a huge breakthrough for me. I spent so much time thinking “I can’t wait to be home, in my own bed with my own coffeemaker…” But I got to a point where we were gone on the road so much that I had to learn to be happy just where I was. So next year thats my goal everyday just to be happy and content right where I am.”

Ahhh New Year’s Resolutions…all those things we vow to do to improve ourselves in the coming year. 2019 is a fresh start for all of us and I think most of us have a thing or two we’d like to give up, a few pounds we’d like to shed or a dream we’d like to pursue. This is the time of the year we get to examine who we are and who we want to be. For me, I’m pretty stinkin’ proud of where my life path has led me thus far. The past few months have been a huge step forward in doing what I have always wanted to do: telling my story through my music. Last month I released the music video for my single “Hometown,” which is a representation of my own coming out story. My hope for this project was to shine a light on a narrative not usually played out on country radio or on seen CMT, but is all too familiar to the LGBTQ community. Visibility is important, and in our community it’s life saving. My goal for 2019 is to continue telling my story in an effort to bring hope and healing to those who need it most.

After radio tour and a crazy year on the road, we didn’t get enough time to spend with the ones we love the most. In 2019 we want to make it a goal spend more time with family and friends.

One of my goals for 2019 is to have my Grand Ole Opry debut. Being born in Nashville, I grew up getting to see the Opry many times so I hold it close to my heart. Especially since I’m a lover of traditional country, and there is so much history on that stage. I’m working really hard to make that dream a reality this coming year! Also, hearing my music on country radio would be pretty huge…fingers crossed!

In 2019 my goals are to eat more veggies, be consistent in my workouts, keep my relationships healthy, get on more major playlists and nab an opening spot on a tour!
