Dustin Lynch has been on the road the majority of 2016, finishing up his own headlining tour before joining Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights Tour. While Lynch is only in Nashville a couple days a month due to his busy touring schedule, he still managed to narrow down some of his favorite spots in Music City for Sounds Like Nashville.
“This is tough because Nashville is growing so fast,” he admits.

Here are Dustin Lynch’s Nashville Favorites . . .

Edley’s: “For food, my favorite, and this has been a staple for years, is Edley’s. I love the brisket tacos. They’ve got two locations, one’s in East Nashville and one’s in 12South. That would be my go-to restaurant.”

Jack Brown’s Beer & Burger Joint: “Another favorite of mine. I just found this place, this little hole in the wall. They’ve got great hamburgers. It has, they call it The Elvis. This hamburger has peanut butter and mayonnaise and bacon. It’s so cool. All they have is burgers, hotdogs and beer so it’s my kind of deal.”

Broadway: “I still love hanging out on Broadway. If we get a night off, which is very rare, me and the band guys, we’ll go. I spent years down on Broadway. I played for three years at all those honky tonks. It’s really neat to go back for me, selfishly as a songwriter and an artist, to see what those bands are playing and to see how the crowd reacts. As a songwriter, it lets me go, ‘Okay, this is the type of song we need to shoot for.’ Not that I don’t know that, but it’s great reinforcement. We love going to Legend’s Corner. The Stage just opened up a few floors so we like cruising through the Stage.”

Whiskey Jam:“Whiskey Jam Monday nights. I’ve actually found several songwriters that I love to write with and now have hits with at Whiskey Jam [including] ‘Hell of a Night.’ I discovered Adam Sanders at Whiskey Jam a few years ago and somebody I was with was like, ‘Wow, I really like that guy.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I really like that guy too. I’m going to go introduce myself.’ Shook his hand and who would have known that he would have written ‘Hell of a Night.’ He’s a great artist, he’s a great songwriter and he and I write a lot. I love him. We’re brothers. We do a lot of life together. We hunt, we fish, we do all that stuff other than music. Whiskey Jam Monday night is definitely something I’d send anybody who comes to Nashville to.”

Music City Indoor Karting: “The indoor go-karts is a tradition for us. They’re right across the river so they’re right beside the football stadium. The day that I heard ‘Hell of a Night’ was in Syracuse, New York, and there’s this indoor go-kart track in this mall we were playing at. It does have a special meaning because we rode those go-karts, then we wrote a song, then I played a show and [Sanders] said, ‘Man, after watching your show, I think you might dig this song. Let me play you this song we wrote last week.’ And then he played me ‘Hell of a Night’ and I was like, ‘Yes! I do love it.’ That exact operation is now in Nashville so we go there every now and again and I love it. It’s a lot of fun. I grew up racing. My dad still races. I grew up riding motocross and helping dad on the racecar so it’s in my blood. It’s fun for everybody.”
