It’s National Pie Day! No, not 3.14 pi, but actual dessert pie (yum!). National Pie Day began in 1986 when The American Pie Council chose to commemorate Crisco’s 75th anniversary with an annual celebration. Since then, the league has encouraged bakers around the world to bake their favorite pies on January 23rd to mark the occasion.
