Kane Brown and Wife Welcome Second Child … In Secret

Country star Kane Brown and his wife Katelyn have welcomed the birth of their second child, a daughter named Kodi Jane — but this wasn’t your typical celebrity pregnancy. The couple successfully kept the entire process private, and have now shared the special news with fans.
Born just before the New Year, Kodi Jane reportedly weighed 7 lbs., 9 oz. and was 20.5 inches long, and now joins the family as little sister to 2-year-old Kingsley Rose. Revealing the news to fans, Brown said he is once again overjoyed to be a “girl dad,” even though it wasn’t what he originally expected.
“Been holding on to these pics ❤️ I’ve always wanted a son until I had Kingsley and now I’m good with all my girls 😘,” Brown wrote.
For her part, Katelyn announced the news by sharing heartwarming photos from the hospital, and went on to describe why the family kept their latest “beautiful angel” a secret.
“These past 9 months have been so sacred and special to me,” she wrote. “Choosing to keep my pregnancy quiet was the best decision I’ve ever made. Soaking in special moments with my daughter and husband without the influence of social media and outside world made this time that much more intimate and unforgettable. Thank you for all the kind messages and love. I am so grateful and blessed to be these little girls mama and can not wait to raise strong, confident, sweet little ladies with you @kanebrown_music … you are the man we all look up to ❣️”
Katelyn went on to post some of the baby bump photos she’d been holding onto in as a video montage, and even shared a clip of the moment she told Kane she was expecting. With the country star still in bed, she holds up a positive pregnancy test to the camera, and then wakes Kane to give him the news. Even coming out of a deep sleep, the loving father flashes an instant smile of joy.
Congratulations to the Brown family on the new member in their lives, and kudos for the mindful example of public parenting. Tomorrow (January 6), Kane Brown gets back on the road for his Blessed & Free Tour in Indianapolis, and the hit maker recently shared a preview of a new song called “Whiskey Sour.”
