Luke Bryan is looking out for families in need this year, partnering with Cornerstone Building Brands to become their 2021 Home for Good ambassador, and support the great work of Habitat for Humanity.

Aiming to highlight the need for affordable housing across the country, Bryan will be the public face of Cornerstone’s Home for Good initiative. The program has already donated $2 million since 2016 in exterior building products — things like windows, siding and accessories — helping to build or remodel over 550 Habitat for Humanity homes in more than 90 communities. But under the current circumstances, the need is only growing.

Experts estimate that one seven U.S. families spends half of their income (or more) on housing, and the pandemic has only made things worse. Many people lost their jobs and income sources, and even if they didn’t 12 million low-income households have at least one contributing member working in an at-risk industry, putting them in danger of losing a job or contracting the virus, which could lead to massive medical bills. Bryan hopes to inspire the more fortunate among us to pitch in.

“I’m glad to be part of Cornerstone Building Brands’ Home for Good project again this year,” said Bryan, who also held the ambassador job last year. “Every family deserves a place to call home where children can be happy and memories are created, and it’s a privilege to play even a small part in tackling this big need.”

Cornerstone Building Brands is the largest manufacturer of exterior building products in North America and their Home for Good project will provide an additional $525,000 in product and financial support to Habitat for Humanity International through 2021. This year’s priorities include building more resilient housing in disaster-prone areas, financial incentives to help people overcome the pandemic, and more. Luke Bryan recently celebrated his third win as ACM Entertainer of the Year, and will kick off his Proud to Be Right Here Tour in July.
