Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have officially been parents for six months! Morris took to Instagram on Wednesday, September 23 to celebrate their son Hayes’ six month milestone with a photo of the three of them. In the caption, Morris shared some facts about Hayes, including the fact that he’s an incredibly calm and happy baby.

“6 months ago today, our boy was born,” Morris wrote. “He smiled early and stared at you intently like he had known you in a past life. He eats all the green foods I would never touch, and I think we’ve only heard him really cry 4 different times.”

The Grammy-winning singer continued, saying she and Hurd are waiting for the day when Hayes’ calm phase comes to an end, but it hasn’t happened yet.

“We are honestly just waiting for the spell to wear off and he becomes a terror, but so far, he’s just been our sweet, sensitive son. Happy half year, Bub,” she wrote.

Since welcoming him into the world on March 23, Morris and Hurd have been sharing special moments with their son on social media. Morris did opt to stop showing Hayes’ face in photos earlier this year after receiving criticism and mom-shaming from people in the comments. However, she has still been able to post a few snaps of the baby, including one of Hayes wearing a custom-made jacket sent by Miranda Lambert, complete with his name written in sparkly letters and sparkly fringe on the back.

“Blue jean baby,” she wrote alongside the photo in July. “Thank you @mirandalambert for this sparkly number.”
