Mickey Guyton’s Son ‘On The Mend’ After Being Sent To ICU
Mickey Guyton has updated fans on her 9-month-old son, Grayson, who was sent to the ICU on Thursday night (11/18), sharing that he’s “on the mend.” The update comes after Guyton posted an urgent tweet requesting prayers for her son. She did not share any details about his condition at the time of the tweet — only that the doctors “don’t know what’s wrong.”
“I normally don’t do this but my son is being sent to the icu,” she wrote. “The doctors don’t know what’s wrong. Please please pray.”
The responses to the tweet were flooded with love and prayers sent by fans and other artists alike. While Guyton says in her update that her son is “not in the clear,” she reveals that he’s getting better.
“He’s not in the clear but he’s on the mend,” she wrote. “Thank you for your prayers. I will update y’all as soon as I am able. Thank you thank you thank you for your love and support.”
Guyton has not shared any other details about her son’s condition. On November 12th, however, she posted a photo of her son cuddling up to her and revealed that he was feeling under the weather.
“From CMA stage to nursing my sick baby boy at home,” she wrote alongside the photo. “Motherhood is a humbling experience. Nothing is greater or more important that their happiness and well being.”
Guyton and her husband Grant Savoy welcomed Grayson in February 2021. The singer often shares sweet photos of her son, and she posted a snap of him dressed as an astronaut for his first Halloween in October.
“Got Gray his first Halloween costume,” she wrote. “I am officially done with my little rocket man.”
Guyton also took to social media on National Sons Day in September to post a video of Grayson laughing on the couch while being tickled by his dad.
“Nothing compares to you,” she wrote. “Thank you for choosing me to be your mom.”
