Whoever said that New York City doesn’t know anything about country music hasn’t been to the Opry City Stage in Times Square.

Right in the heat of it all surrounded by Broadway shows and bright lights, the Opry City Stage sits pretty with its doors open to visitors from around the world interested in getting a taste of the South right on the East Coast. Although it may not be the original Grand Ole Opry stage, the four floors of the Opry City Stage present a musical experience like that found in Music City with different vibes on every level.

The second and third floors host the restaurant portions of the building, with special performances set on stage to entertain the hungry masses throughout their meal. These levels also play live shows directly from the Opry in Nashville, so fans from hundreds of miles away can get in on the fun.

Making it all the way up to the fourth floor is The Studio at Opry City Stage, where fans can pay for a ticket and see some of the best talent from both New York and Nashville. They even hold a special Bluebird Café Songwriter Series from time to time to recreate the feeling of the iconic Music City venue.

While the Opry City Stage is mainly all about the music, they still offer delicious bites to snack on while traveling throughout the metropolitan area. Visitors can feast upon Nashville classics like hot chicken and waffles or hog and hominy, as well as soups, sandwiches, salad, burgers and more. Don’t forget to grab yourself a fancy cocktail, like a vodka based ‘Harmonica’ or a hibiscus margarita.

Next time you hit the streets of NYC, be sure to check into the Opry City Stage located right on Broadway near Radio City Music Hall.
