PHOTOS: Inside Alan Jackson’s AJ’s Good Time Bar

Y’all ready for a ‘good time’ in Nashville? If so, Lower Broadway is the best place to be to get your fill of live country music, drinks and honky tonks. Nestled among the lineup of neon signs along Nashville’s busiest street is Alan Jackson’s new establishment, AJ’s Good Time Bar, which officially opened all four floors after recently undergoing a major renovation.

The idea to open his own venue space downtown was something Jackson always strived to do, in hopes of keeping live music playing along the “Honky Tonk Highway.”

“I always wanted to own a honky-tonk that plays real country music on Broadway that I could put my name on,” he said in a press release.

Each of the floors showcases Jackson’s many interests and hobbies. As patrons enter on the main floor, they take in the live country music atmosphere, matching what Lower Broadway is best known for. As they make their way upstairs, the “GT Bar” is there to greet them, filling every car aficionado’s desires. The car-themed sports bar showcases more live acoustic music and 12 big-screen TVs.

On the third floor, visitors will see what’ it’s like to step aboard Jackson’s Merritt Sportfish boat, “Hullbilly,” when they visit its denominated bar. Fans may recognize the vessel as it’s appeared in Jackson’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” and “Long Way to Go” music videos. The floor continues the theme of live music, while also allowing patrons to live their own musical dreams with karaoke. AJ’s Good Time Bar is topped off with the rooftop “Star Bar,” giving fans a bird’s eye view of the Ryman Auditorium, Broadway, Nissan Stadium and all of downtown Music City.
