Rooftops are one of the trendiest places to be over the summer…truly! With the best views one could find and the relaxing feel of a sweet summer breeze, rooftop bars and patios are definitely a spot to see and be seen. Nashville seems to be a town of trends and the rooftop vibes are no different this season.

In need of a few suggestions? Fear not—Sounds Like Nashville has got the city covered for the best rooftop hangs in the area. Check them out!

ACME Feed and Seed

Known as one of the trendiest bars on the Broadway block, ACME always has barhoppers lined up to get inside. Each floor of the restaurant boasts its own vibes: the first level seems to mix country with contemporary, the second level screams sports bar-meets-sushi, the third floor (or “The Hatchery”) is the largest one-level music venue on Lower Broadway, and the fourth floor features the rooftop terrace. With an almost 360˚ view of downtown Nashville complete with the Cumberland overlook, it’s a gem for those summer nights in the city.

UP, A Rooftop Lounge

Right on the cuff of the high-end Gulch neighborhood, UP is still on the hush-hush among Nashville residents. For being located in a rather upscale area, the drinks are well worth your money and the view of the skyline in the distance is absolutely priceless. Looking for something to nibble on as you enjoy your cocktails? UP serves a variety of modern American plates, easy enough to share with friends on a night out.

Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge

Looking for the real Nashville experience? Tootsie’s is a Music City institution—anyone who is anyone has played a round in the purple honkytonk. Located among the heaps of honkytonks up and down Broadway, Tootsie’s stands out for its authentic bar style and rooftop lookout. Never is it ever empty on a given Friday night after work hours have ended.

Hands down, best place to win over a date. Watermark is the ultimate restaurant to impress the best with its luxurious Southern cuisine and cool location. You’ll never guess how many wines they offer on their extensive list, and the cocktails make us all daydream about spending happy hour upon their rooftop patio. Sigh…

Sushi may not be your first reaction when you think of a Southern city like Nashville. But Virago offers the unique flair of Asian fusion cuisine paired with its perfect partner, sake. Concoctions like their wasabi martini must be enjoyed in the open air of Music City.

Soulshine Pizza Factory

Pizza and beer…nothing sounds quite as good as that combo. Cracking open a cold one with a slice or two on Soulshine’s second floor patio could make a grown man cry in the best way possible. Throw in some live music and Soulshine ensures good vibes included for all.
