She may be originally from the east side of the state, but Tara Thompson has come to know Nashville as her new home. From reminiscing the early days of her career down in the honkytonks on Broadway to cheering on Music City’s professional hockey team, Thompson shared her favorite hot spots around town to the Sounds Like Nashville crew.

Here are Tara Thompson’s Nashville Favorites…

Robert’s Western World:  “My favorite bar down there is Robert’s. I love Robert’s Western World ‘cause they play all the really old school country that’s so cool. I feel like I’m taken back in time every time I go in there. That’s my favorite!”

Smashville: “I love going to Preds games. I feel like I’m being super cliché right now, but my sister used to dance for the Predators. She doesn’t anymore, but back in the day, that was always a fun thing to go to.”

Joey’s House of Pizza: “I love to eat. There’s this place called Joey’s Pizza. Oh my God, it’s amazing! And I’m obsessed with pizza, so that’s my favorite.”

Nashville Palace: “The Palace way out by the Opry. It is a bar and they serve food, too. They have the best food ever for bar food.”

Radnor Lake State Natural Area: “Radnor Lake is a good place to go hiking. I love to go hiking!”

*BONUS LOCATION: McDonald’s: “If you want to add six, just put McDonald’s down there and make me look good,” she told us with a laugh. “Oh, those French fries. French fries are my favorite. I’m on a diet; I’m trying to eat healthy. So French fries from McDonald’s…you know what I’m saying? That craving is every day unfortunately.”

Thompson’s debut EP, Someone To Take Your Place, is out now.
