10 Songs You Should Be Listening To Right Now – 2015 Ones To Watch Edition

Can you believe it’s already 2015? To celebrate the new year and what’s to come in country music, we’re dedicating our January installment of “10 Songs You Should Be Listening To Right Now” to this year’s “ones to watch.” Below are the artists (in no particular order) who we believe will make an impact on country music in the upcoming year.

2015 “Ones To Watch”

Sam Hunt

Sam Hunt: “Take Your Time” – Sam Hunt may have made a huge splash at country radio in 2014 with his hit “Leave The Night On,” but the Georgia native is just getting started. This talented singer, songwriter and entertainer is on his way to super-stardom and will surely continue to make a name for himself with his unique sound and well-written lyrics in 2015. Be sure to catch him on his Lipstick Graffiti Tour throughout the spring (if you’re lucky enough to snag tickets before they sell out!).

Mickey Guyton

Mickey Guyton: “Better Than You Left Me” – The country music community has been anxiously awaiting the release of Mickey Guyton’s debut single, and it’s finally here! The Texas native’s “Better Than You Left Me” is exactly what country radio needs more of.

Chase Bryant - CountryMusicIslove

Chase Bryant: “Take It On Back” – Red Bow Records artist Chase Bryant continues to climb the charts with his catchy debut, “Take It On Back.” The track appears on the 22-year-old’s debut EP, which he co-wrote and co-produced. Expect to see a lot more from this talented newcomer in 2015.

Maddie and Tae

Maddie & Tae: “Fly” – Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye, aka Maddie & Tae, made chart history with their debut single, “Girl In A Country Song,” last year. The duo is back with a new single, entitled “Fly,” and ready to leave a long-lasting stamp on country music.

Old Dominion

Old Dominion: “Break Up With Him” – Old Dominion is country music’s most buzzed about new group. Comprised of veteran songwriters, OD is produced by Grammy-winning songwriter Shane McAnally. The group, who has charted a handful of tunes, including “Shut Me Up” and “Break Up With Him,” on SiriusXM’s “The Highway Hot 45” has a huge year ahead of them as they’ve been hand-picked by superstar Kenny Chesney to join him on select dates of his much-anticipated The Big Revival Tour.

Austin Webb

Austin Webb: “All Country On You” – Newcomer Austin Webb started the first full week of 2015 off right by having the No.1 most-added song at country radio with “All Country On You.” The ladies will love this tune, as it’s an anthem to the feisty women of the world.

Canaan Smith

Canaan Smith: “Love You Like That” – Singer/songwriter Canaan Smith has been flying under the radar for several years now. Fans were first introduced to him in 2012 with his debut release, “We Got Us.” Since then, Smith has been hard at work on writing and recording new music and is back at radio now with “Love You Like That.”

Kelsea Ballerini - CountryMusicIsLove

Kelsea Ballerini: “Love Me Like You Mean It” – Kelsea Ballerini hit country radio late last year with her debut single, “Love Me Like You Mean It.” The track has made its way into the top 40 and is continuing to make its way up the charts. It’s always refreshing to hear another female voice on country radio, so we hope programmers continue to embrace Ballerini!

Mo Pitney

Mo Pitney: “Country” – If you like traditional country music, check out Cub Records’ Mo Pitney. This guy is the real deal. His debut single is (appropriately) titled “Country,” and it will blow you away.

The Railers

The Railers: “Kinda Dig The Feeling” – We are digging The Railers’ and their debut single, “Kinda Dig The Feeling.” The song is absolutely infectious. We dare you to listen and resist the urge to tap your foot along to the beat.
