Contestants from 15 seasons of American Idol have seen how the singing-competition has the power to change lives, evolving ordinary people to musical stars. Beyond the stage, many Idol alum have seen life transform in a very different way, by adding a baby to the picture.

Kelly Clarkson- Season One, Winner

The original American Idol welcomed her first child, River Rose Blackstock on June 12, 2014 with husband Brandon Blackstock, giving Reba McEntire another grandchild. They extended their family once again with the birth of Remington Alexander Blackstock on April 12, 2016. 

Carrie Underwood – Season Four, Winner

Underwood and her hockey-player husband Mike Fisher brought their first son, the beautiful Isaiah Fisher, into the world Feb. 27, 2015. To make you melt even more, the first picture they posted of the baby boy includes him napping holding a Nashville Predators hockey stick.

Bucky Covington – Season Five, Eighth place

Covington and Katherine Cook brought home their first bundle of joy on Oct. 10, 2014, a baby girl named Kennedy Taylor Covington. The little girl has made plenty of adorable appearances on her proud papa’s Facebook page, including one with her following in her daddy’s rockstar footsteps.

Danny Gokey – Season Eight, Third place

The season eight contestant and his wife Leyicet Peralta expanded their family with the birth of their son Daniel Emanuel, born on January 20, 2013 and their daughter Victoria Isabella, born on November 28, 2014. The Gokey clan will soon be five, with the couple announcing their third pregnancy in January 2017!

Josh Gracin – Season Two, Fourth place

Before competing on American Idol, Gracin had one daughter with his then wife, Ann Marie. Following the conclusion of his time on the show, Gracin doubled the size of his family with the addition of Gabriella Ann Gracin, born November 15, 2006, Isabella Sophia Gracin, born November 12, 2008, and Landon Joshua Gracin, born August 4, 2005.

Casey James – Season Nine, Third place

James keeps his private life relatively private, so we don’t know much about his first daughter, including her name or birthdate, with wife Kelli Pentzer. While he’s private about specifics, James posts plenty of pics of his bundle of joy on Instagram, with her debut occurring on Feb. of 2016.
