The biggest names in the world of country music will come together in Nashville, Tennessee, for the 53rd Annual CMA Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 13. With country icons Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton hosting “Country Music’s Biggest Night,” the event will feature emotional moments and amazing performances from some of the brightest stars in the genre.
How to Watch:The major award show will air live on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. EST on ABC. The show will also be available for streaming on platforms like Hulu and YouTube TV, and international fans can find broadcast information for their region here.
The Host: Carrie Underwood is back hosting the CMA Awards for the 12th time, albeit this time without longtime co-host Brad Paisley. The event is embracing girl power this time around, as the superstar will be joined by legendary entertainers Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton. Underwood took to twitter to share her excitement over sharing the stage with her heroes.
The Nominees: Maren Morris came out on top with six nominations, including nods in Album of the Year and Song of the Year, while Brothers Osborne racked up the second most nominations with four, which includes one for Vocal Duo of the Year. Big names like Morgan Wallen and Carly Pearce earned nominations for New Artist of the Year, and country powerhouses Garth Brooks, Eric Church, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban will battle it out for Entertainer of the Year, the highest honor of the night. The Performers: The CMA Awards has a reputation for featuring some fantastic performances and collaborations, and the 2019 show is looking no different from past years when it comes to quality. GRAMMY Album of the Year winner Kacey Musgraves will team up with country legend and frequent collaborator Willie Nelson, who is performing on the CMA stage for the first time since 2012. Also set to take the stage are Eric Church, Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Maren Morris, Dolly Parton with For King & Country and Zach Williams, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Kelsea Ballerini, Brooks & Dunn with Brothers Osborne, Garth Brooks with Blake Shelton, Dan + Shay, Old Dominion and Thomas Rhett. Pop sensations Halsey and P!NK will perform with Lady Antebellum and Chris Stapleton, respectively.
The Presenters: “Country Music’s Biggest Night” has enlisted an all-star team of presenters to hand out awards and introduce performers throughout the night, including Bobby Bones, Blanco Brown, Hannah Brown, Deana Carter, Kristin Chenoweth, Janie Fricke, Jim Gaffigan, Vince Gill, Kathy Mattea, Martina McBride, Midland, Craig Morgan, Jennifer Nettles, Madelaine Petsch, J.B. Smoove, Pam Tillis, Morgan Wallen, Jimmie Allen, Cody Johnson, Lara Spencer, Joe Walsh, Reese Witherspoon and Trisha Yearwood.
