Dallas Smith, Tenille Townes, Brett Kissel Earn Three 2020 CCMA Awards
What a night for Canadian country fans!
Canadian country music fans got to celebrate the genre when the 2020 CCMA Awards presented by TD broadcasted live on Global TV last night (9/27). Taking home top honors were Dallas Smith, Tenille Townes and Brett Kissel, each with three wins.

Without all of you none of this is possible and that isn’t lost on me. I can’t wait to see all of you again soon, VERY soon,” Smith shared in a post to Instagram. The singer nabbed Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year presented by Music Canada and Top Selling Canadian Single of the Year, as well as the night’s top honor: TD Entertainer of the Year.

Townes, who won Female Artist of the Year, Songwriter(s) of the Year presented by SOCAN and Video of the Year, wasn’t able to attend the show in person, but did perform her moving hit “Jersey on the Wall (I’m Just Asking)” live from Nashville, TN. “What a night!!! Such an honour to play the #CCMAawards and sing this song,” she posted.

The night’s other top winner, Brett Kissel, shared his emotional reaction with fans on Instagram. He took home the honor for Male Artist of the Year, Album of the Year and Fans’ Choice. “THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for the love. Thank you for the belief. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the encouragement. Thank you for the time. Thank you for the effort. Thank you for the memories. And thank you for the best @ccmaofficial of my life… I cried so much over the last 3 nights, I don’t even know what to say…”
