Last week, a video went viral of an adorable 4-year-old singing Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It” to her mom battling cancer.

Ellen DeGeneres shared the video of McKenna Stanchak singing to her mom Dianna, and shortly thereafter, the daytime television host invited the family to her show as special guests.

“She sings to me every day,” Dianna said of McKenna. She also thanked DeGeneres for sharing the video and its given her “hope and courage” to keep fighting the stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma she was diagnosed with in 2013.

“I raised my kids with Martina McBride and those songs have gotten us through some really tough times and this song came out when she was diagnosed,” Dianna’s mom, Dee Silvernail, told Inside Edition when the video initially went viral. “My granddaughter sings the song to her every day.”

As an added bonus to appearing on the talk show, the family was also surprised when McBride came out to perform the emotional song with McKenna.

This is the second time in the last month that McBride has performed the song on television. She recently surprised PS22 and their teacher during their appearance on The View.
