Allie Colleen’s ‘Take Up Your Arms’ Featured In Sea Turtle Recovery Video

Up-and-coming country singer Allie Colleen has earned a slot in a promotional video by Sea Turtle Recovery with her song, “Take Up Your Arms.”

The encouraging anthem, penned by Colleen and Bobby Johnson, puts into perspective life’s rights from wrongs, banding together as one, and shines a light on being an advocate for the helpless around us.

“My hope is that I can bring a voice to Sea Turtle Recovery’s threatened and endangered sea turtles. If we all embrace each other and this world, then there is hope,” shared the Belmont University graduate. “That is what our sea turtle’s inspiring stories show us everyday, and that is what we hope this song will drive us all to see in the video.”

Sea Turtle Recovery is a non-profit organization focused on the rehabilitation of sea turtles and providing both public outreach and awareness.

“The sick and injured sea turtles we care for inspire Sea Turtle Recovery with their fight, courage and desire to thrive against all odds,” said Brandi Biehl, CEO of Sea Turtle Recovery. “Allie’s song expresses this same drive by showing that if we care for each other with that same kind of conviction in our hearts then this world has a chance, endangered sea turtles and so much more have a chance!”

Earlier this month, we featured Allie Colleen’s heartfelt “Work in Progress” in our piece 10 Country Songs To Encourage You Through Difficult Times, alongside cuts from Kacey Musgraves, Eric Church, Carly Pearce, Lauren Alaina and more.
